Tracey didn’t ever recover from her 2014 total hip replacement. Her surgical wound healed well but despite over 4 years of physiotherapy and rehabilitation the functionality of the hip started to deteriorate and the bursitis and swelling never really went away. Then came the pain.
Tracey visited several surgeons and something didn’t sit right with what she was told. So we began our own investigations into what could possibly be amiss. Then came the realisation that she was not being told the truth. Tracey’s hip was failing and poisoning her in the process.

The discovery that the hip contained a part made of cobalt, in spite of reassurances from Orthopaedic Surgeons was a heart stopping moment. Tracey was told explicitly that her hip was not of this design, and it was finally admitted upon obtaining the surgical notes. Worse yet the hospital had already discovered that these hips were potentially a big problem for some patients but did nothing. Several years and two revisions later Tracey is left with permanent physical damage and mental trauma from this horrific situation. We never want to see another person go through the living hell that Tracey endures every day.
Millions of people worldwide are not aware that they have cobalt in an implant in their body.
